The Office of Alumni Relations will host a series of "Neighborhood Receptions" to entertain alumni in various geographic regions of the greater Richmond community and spread the news about the wonderful things your alma mater is doing to enhance the value of your degree.  The following link contains photos from the first neighborhood reception held at the Country Club of Virginia on November 16, 2004.

The VCU Alumni Association Board of Directors engaged in a strategic planning session on January 8, 2005.  Terry Worrell from the VCU Center for Public Policy facilitated the session.

The VCU Alumni Association Board of Directors worked the concession stand at the ALLTEL Pavilion at the Stuart C. Siegel Center during the January 26, 2005 men's basketball game against James Madison University.

During VCU's 2005 Homecoming Week (January 31-February 5) the Alumni Activities participated in the Saturday pre-game tailgate party also known as the "Chill-N-Grill." 

Prior to the VCU vs ODU game on February 12, 2005 the Alumni Office and the VCU Athletics Department hosted a pre-game social in the Constant Center on the ODU's campus.  Here are some of the scenes from the event

On March 5th, The VCU Alumni Association, the Rams Club, and the VCU Athletics Department co-hosted a pre-game reception prior to VCU's  CAA Tournament quarterfinals victory over the University of Delaware.  Chip Rossi, director of alumni activities and Dr. Richard Sander, Assistant to the President & Director of Athletics made remarks during the event

On April 28, 2005 the "Friends of Monroe Park" hosted a dedication ceremony for the unveiling of the park's historical marker. The Communications Committee of the VCU Alumni Association Board offered refreshments during the ceremony which included a cake with the image of the famous Monroe Park fountain designed into the frosting!. Dr. Trani along with officials from city government spoke during the festivities

MCVAA Reunion 2005!  The MCV Reunion has come and gone but memories are here to stay.  Please join the over 1,200 alumni who attended the reunion this year with a trip down photo lane.  If you could not attend, we hope you can join us for Reunion 2006, April 21-23.

April 29-May 1, 2005 the VCU African American Alumni Council hosted its annual Alumni Reunion Weekend.

The VCU Alumni Association and the MCV Alumni Association of VCU sponsored the 2005 Commencement Breakfast for our new graduates

Our new DC Metro Area Alumni Chapter held its inaugural event on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at McFadden’s, a popular establishment located in downtown Washington, DC.  If you would like more information about the chapter please feel free to send an email message to Chip Rossi at garossi@vcu.edu
